National Defence Academy (NDA) And Naval Academy (NA) Examination (II), 2011

The Union Public Service Commission will hold the National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (II), 2011 on 21 August 2011, for admission to Army, Navy and Air Force Wings of NDA for 1 28 Course and for the 90 Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC) commencing from June, 2012.

ELIGIBILITY:

(a) Age Limits. Sex and Marital Status:

Only unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2^nd  July, 1993 and not later than 1 January1 1996 are eligible.

(b) Educational Qualifications:

(i) For Army Wing of National Defence Academy:- 1 2th Class pass of 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

(ii) For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme of the Indian Naval Academy:- 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics, conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

Candidates who are appearing in the 1 2th Class under 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination can also apply for this Examination.

(C) Physical Standards:

Candidates must be physically fit according to the physical standards for admission to National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (II), 2011 as given in Appendix-V of Commission’s Notice for the Examination published in Employment News/Rozgar Samachar Dated 9 April, 2011.

Eligibility:

Candidates who fulfill the following criteria shall be eligible to appear for the Entrance Test:

i) A candidate who has passed the Second year Pre – University or 12th standard or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects and English as one of the languages of study and obtained an aggregate minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology put together. However in case of SC/ST candidates it is 40% Candidates whose 10+2 results are not yet announced may also apply. However they shall submit the attested copies of the markscard before 20.6.2011 so that they can be considered for counselling if they have scored more than 50% in the qualifying examinations.

ii) Must be 17 or more years of age as on 31-12-2011.
