IIT- Madras HSEE 2012, Humanities & Social Science Entrance Exam




Indian Institute of Technology invites application for Humanities & Social Science Entrance Exam (HSEE 2012) Entrance Exam for admission into Five Year Integrated Master of Arts (M.A) in following disciplines:

  • Development Studies
  • English Studies.


PATTERN FOR HSEE-2012
Type of Question paper: HSEE-2012 examination is of three hours duration and has two parts. Part I consist of objective type multiple choice questions for 2½ hours duration (150 Minutes), administered through computer and Part II is on Essay writing for ½ hour (30 Minutes) to be written on answer sheet distributed to the candidates at the end of Part I.

Part I covers the following topics:
(i) English and Comprehension Skill; (ii) Analytical and Quantitative Ability;
(iii) General Knowledge covering the areas of Indian Economics (since Independence), Indian Society, Contemporary World Affairs (post-World War II); and (iv) Environment and Ecology.

Part II requires the candidate to write an essay on general topics including current affairs.


Eligibility:
  • The final examination of the 10+2 system, conducted by any recognized Central / State Board

  • Candidates of GE & OBC Categories Must secure atleast 60% marks and those of SC, ST & PD categories must secure atleast 55% marks aggregate in qualifying examination.

How to Apply:
Application for HSEE 2012 is through online mode.
Examination fee is Rs. 800/- for SC/ST/PD, and all other categories Rs. 1600/-

Goa Institute of Management, PGDM Part Time for Working Executive 2012




Goa Institute of Management invites application for Postgraduate Diploma in Management - Part Time (PGDM-PT) (2012 - 2015) For Working Executives


Eligibility:
  • Minimum 50% marks in a three-year Bachelors degree or equivalent in any discipline, recognised by the UGC/AICTE/AIU as eligible for Post Graduate Studies in Management; and
  • Full time work experience of at least three years in an executive/ supervisory position after graduation.

Selection Process:

Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) 2012 | AICTE-CMAT 2012| Pattern of CMAT 2012| Advantage of CMAT




AICTE launches the first national level Common Management Admission Test (CMAT)-2012 for
facilitating institutions to select suitable students for admission in all management programs
approved by AICTE for year 2012-13. The initiative has been taken to address the issue of
physical, mental and financial stress being imposed on the students through number of entrance
examinations being followed by the institutions for admission into all Management
Programmes in AICTE approved institutions based on the relevant judgment of the Hon’ble
Supreme Court.

The Common Management Admission Test (CMAT)-2012 will be conducted online in 61
cities from 20th February to 28th February, 2012 and scores awarded will be used for admission
in the post graduate management programs both at Degree & Diploma level at national level for year 2012-13


Advantages of  CMAT
• The National level test will be conducted for nine days from 20th to 28th February in
two shifts at 61 cities/locations.
• CMAT will be a computer based test for three hours duration.
• The common admission test will reduce the burden on candidates due to appearance in
multiple tests.
• CMAT scores will help students seek admissions in all management programmes (4 lakh
seats) in AICTE approved Institutions / University Departments.

Indian Institute of Technology Joint Entrance Examination (IIT-JEE) 2012. 


Eligibility:
1. Date of birth: GE and OBC categories - only those candidates whose date of birth falls on or after October 1, 1987 SC, ST, and PD candidates - born on or after October 1, 1982.
If the certificate does not mention the date of birth, a candidate must submit, an authenticated document indicating the date of birth.

2. Year of passing Qualifying Examination (QE): The final examination of the 10+2 system, conducted by any recognized Central/State Board.

3. Minimum percentage of marks in QE: Candidates belonging to GE and OBC categories must secure at least 60% marks in aggregate in their QE. SC, ST and PD candidates must secure at least 55% marks in aggregate in their QE.

A candidate can submit application either on-line through internet or off-line through prescribed (OMR) application form.

Symbiosis Centre for Information Technology  invites application for MBA in IT Business Management
Specialization:
·         Information Security Management
·         IT Infrastructre Management
·         Software Soluations Mahnagement
·         Systems


Eligibility:
·         Graduate of any faculty of any Statutory University with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) at graduation level.

·         Graduates in IT/Computer Science/Computer Application; or in engineering or with IT related experience will be preferred.

·         Candidates appearing for Final Year Bachelor’s Degree Examinations may apply but their admission will be subject to obtaining a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST).

·         All candidates applying against reservation seats must provide documentary proof as per requirements of Symbiosis International University (SIU).

Admission Procedure:
Selection Process
The Selection process is carried out in two steps.
Step I: SNAP Test
·         Each student desirous of admission to SCIT must appear for Symbiosis National Aptitude (SNAP) Test 2011, which is a common written test for the admission to all Symbiosis postgraduate institutes.
·         For SNAP Test information log on to http://www.snaptest.org and register. Get your SNAP-ID. This SNAP-ID should be entered while applying to SCIT.
·         Preserve the Admit Card of SNAP Test 2011 for further selection process at SCIT. Appearing for SNAP Test does not automatically qualify an applicant for the next step in selection process at SCIT.
Step II: Selection Process at SCIT
Short-listed Applicants based on SNAP scores will be called for the selection process at SCIT, Pune. Short listed candidates are announced on SCIT website www.scit.edu as per the scheduled dates. Individual regret letters will not be sent to applicants who are not called for GE(Group Exercise)/PI. The entire process will be held at PUNE only.

This process includes personality test, Group Exercise, Personal Interview etc.
