Delhi University invites application for M.Phil in Social Work Courses for academic year 2011

Eligibility:

Any person who has obtained M.A. (Social Work) degree from any recognized university of India or abroad with 55% or more marks or equivalent grade shall be eligible to apply for admission to M. Phil. Social Work. Candidates awaiting their result of final year examination can also apply

Selection Procedure:

All the candidates satisfying the minimum requirements need to pass in the Written Test and Panel Interview separately. Marks for the interview and written test are 100 each, and a candidate must obtain a minimum of 50% marks in each.

The maximum enrolment in the M. Phil. Programme shall be 20 students. Reservation of seats will be as per Universities rules.

How to Apply;

Admission Bulletin along with application forms shall be available from 28th June 2011 and may be obtained from the Department of Social Work against a cash payment of Rs. 250/- at Department counter or by post or by downloading the form from website www.du.ac.in  along with a demand draft of Rs. 300/- drawn in favour of Registrar, University of Delhi, payable at Delhi.

Important Dates:

Last Date of Submission of Form: 21st July, 2011.

Delhi University will be conducted M.Phil exams on 28 July 2011 at 10.00.Delhi

Delhi University invites application for following courses for academic year 2011

• B.A. (Honours) Business Economics (BBE)
• Bachelor of Financial Investment and Analysis (BFIA)
• Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS)

Eligibility:

10+2 passed with aggregate of at least 60% marks in his/her XII class examination (55% for SC, ST, CW and PC categories)

The candidate must produce the confirmed result and marksheet of the qualifying examination on the day of the Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) to be eligible for the process of admission to the BBS and BFIA courses. Candidates who do not have the confirmed mark sheet will not be entertained under any circumstances.
In the case of a student seeking admission to the B.A. (Honours) Business Economics course the confirmed result and marksheet of the qualifying examination must be produced on the day of the counseling.

Selection Procedure:

1) Selection is based on Written Joint Entrance Test

Applicants shall be called for an objective type multiple choice test, which shall be held at Chandigarh, Delhi, Kolkata and Lucknow

2) Group discussion and Interview for BBS and BFIA programs

Based on the performance in the written test candidates approximately four to six times the number of seats for the relevant categories for each program i.e. BBS and BFIA shall be called for group discussion and interview

3) Final selection

4) Counseling and Admission of candidates for all courses

How to Apply:

You require the following things in order to apply:

1. A working and valid Email ID. This will be your login name. You will also receive information on this Email ID. You may choose any password.
2. The scanned digital copy of a recent passport size colour photograph.
3. Class 12 mark sheet in case you have passed the examination. Class 12 Roll Number in case your result is awaited.
4. Debit/Credit card in case you wish to make online payment.
5. A mobile phone number is desirable. Notice will also be sent through sms on the mobile phone if you so desire.
