International Institute for Population Sciences invites application for following courses of the Institute during the academic year 2011-2012
1) Diploma in Population Studies (through Correspondence)
Eligibility:
A graduate degree or equivalent from recognized Indian/Foreign universities.
Selection criteria for Diploma in Population Studies:
Selection of candidates for the course will be done by a selection committee duly constituted by the Director of the Institute. Preference will be given to candidates having experience in population, Health and /or in allied areas.
Duration: One year to a maximum of three years
2) Master of Arts/Science in Population Studies (M.A./M.Sc.)
Eligibility:
Bachelor’s degree from recognized universities in India or abroad. Preference shall be given to candidates holding a bachelors degree in Math/Stat/Eco or any social science subject.
Selection criteria for Master of Arts/Science in Population Studies
The selection will be made on the basis of a written test, personal interview and past academic records. Only short listed candidates will be called for the test and interview.
Duration: Two years
3) Master of Population Studies
Eligibility:
Master's degree from recognized universities with at least 55% of marks or equivalent grade in Math/ Stat/Eco or any Social Science subject
Selection Criteria for Master of Population Studies
The selection will be made on the basis of a written test, personal interview and past academic records. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the test and interview. Shortlisted candidates appearing for admission test are entitled to claim sleeper class round trip fare by the shortest route on production of original tickets.
Duration: One year
4) Master of Population Studies (through Correspondence)
Eligibility:
Admission to this course is open to all those with a Master's degree from any recognized University in any of the Social Science subjects including Mathematics, Statistics, Health & allied subjects. Preference will be given to candidates having experience in population, Health and /or in allied areas.

5) Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) In Population Studies
Eligibility:
Candidates having M.Phill/Master's degree in Population Studies of a recognized university with at least 55% of marks
Selection Criteria for PhD:
Selection will be made on the basis of performance of the candidates in written test on research methodology, personal interview and past academic records. The Institute gives preference to admit to its Ph.D. Programme, candidates who have M.Phil in Population Studies. Only short-listed candidates will be called for the test and interview. The Institute shall not bear any travel expense of the candidates called for the presentation and interview.
Duration: Three years to a maximum of seven years
