Central Board of Secondary Education invites application for CTET 2011 entrance examination for academic year 2011
Eligibility:
The following persons are eligible for appearing in the CTET:
Minimum Qualifications for Classes I-V
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final 2 – year Diploma in Elementary Education (or its equivalent)
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final 2 – year Diploma in Elementary Education (or its equivalent), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations 2002
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final 2 – year Diploma in Education
Minimum Qualifications for Classes VI-VIII:
B.A. /B.Sc and passed or appearing in final 2 – year Diploma in Elementary Education (or its equivalent)
OR
B.A. /B.Sc. with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1 – year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed)*
OR
B.A. /B.Sc. with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1 – year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed)*, in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final 4-year BA/B.Sc.Ed. or B.A. (Ed.)/B.Sc. (Ed.)
OR
B.A. /B.Sc. with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1 – year B.Ed. (Special Education)
How to Apply:
For submission of application on prescribed form:
• Information Bulletin containing Application Form can be had personally from the Designated Branches of Syndicate Bank & Institutions specified as under against cash payment (Not by post).
• Information Bulletin containing Application Form can also be had by post by sending Demand Draft of required fee from the Central Board of Secondary Education, Shiksha Sadan. 17 Rouse Avenue, New Delhi-I 10002.
• Candidates must follow instructions strictly as given in the Information Bulletin. Candidates not complying with the instructions shall be summarily disqualified.

Application can also be made ‘on-line’ by accessing the Board’s website www.cbse.nic.in The candidate should supply all details while filling up the Online Form. Candidates are required to take a print out of the computer generated Application Form) Confirmation page after successful submission of data.

- Last date for submission of application form: 15.5.2011 (online and offline both)
- Date from which the candidates can apply online: 08.4.2011
