Directorate of Training and Technical Education, Delhi invites application for Common Entrance Test 2011 for Various Diploma Courses
The Department of Training and Technical Education, Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi, in its endeavour to provide technical manpower suited to varied needs of industry, imparts technical education and echnological skills through various courses of study of different levels. Full-time Diploma Courses in Engineering / Technology, Occupational and Secretarial / Management based disciplines are offered at different AICTE approved Government Polytechnics, Privately managed Polytechnics and Government aided Institutions affiliated to the Board of Technical Education, Delhi.
The Department of Training & Technical Education plans to admit students to first semester / first year for the academic session 2011-12 for various Full-time Diploma programmes being offered at Institutes affiliated to the Board of Technical Education (BTE), Delhi, through the Common Entrance Test (CET- 2011).
Admission to the Polytechnics through CET-2011 will also be available for candidates passing out from CBSE 10+2 (Vocational Engineering Stream) from Schools located in Delhi & those from institutions located in Delhi & affiliated to SCVT / NCVT.These students will be eligible for admission to Second Year/Third Semester of Full-Time Diploma Engineering courses in analogous disciplines against 10% supernumerary seats earmarked for them subject to regulations or guidelines issued by the AICTE or the Government of NCT 10th of Delhi. However, ITI pass outs of trades for which the entry level qualification for admission to ITI is 8 pass or the duration of ITI trade is less than one year shall not be considered for lateral entry.

Class 10 based (For Engineering/Technology based Diploma Courses & Occupational Courses) (For candidates applying for Diploma Courses in Architectural Assistantship, Art for Drawing Teacher, Automobile Engineering, Cosmetology & Health, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering (Construction Technology), Civil Engineering (Public Health & Environmental Engineering), Computer Engineering, Commercial Art, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electronics Engineering (Digital Electronics), Electronics Engineering (Medical Electronics), Fashion Design, Garment Fabrication Technology, Information Technology Enabled Services and Management, Instrumentation & Control, Interior Design, Library & Information Science, Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering (Maintenance Engineering), Medical Laboratory Technology, Plastic Technology, Printing Technology, Production Engineering, Textile Design, Tool & Die Making.)
Qualifying Examination for Test 1: Class 10th of CBSE or Equivalent

TEST- 2:
Class 12 based (All streams except Vocational Stream)
(For candidates applying for Diploma Course in Modern Office Practice–English)
Qualifying Examination for Test 2: Class 10+2 (Academic) or Equivalent
Date of Examination: 11th June 2011
Time: 2.00 pm to 4.30 pm
TEST- 3:
Class 12 based (All streams except Vocational Stream)
(For candidates applying for Diploma Course in Modern Office Practice–Hindi)
Qualifying Examination for Test 3: Class 10+2 (Academic) or Equivalent
Date of Examination: 12th June 2011
Time: 10.00 am to 12.30 pm
TEST- 4:
Class 12 based (Science Stream) - For candidates applying for Diploma in Pharmacy Course (excluding the candidates appeared/passed through National Institute of Open Schooling)
Qualifying Examination for Test 4: CBSE 10+2 or Equivalent

(For Lateral Entry)

How to Apply:
The Information Bulletin and OMR/ICR application form for candidates residing outside Delhi can be obtained by registered/speed post on payment of Rs.350/- per test in the form of a Demand Draft in favour of “DKDF” payable at Delhi alongwith a self-addressed envelope of not less than 24x30 cm affixing thereon postage stamp of Rs. 50/- request for which must reach the Controller, Board of Technical Education, Muni Maya Ram Marg, Pitampura, Delhi-110088 latest by 19.04.2011 (4.00 PM). The name, address and telephone number of the candidates should be mentioned clearly on the backside of the bank draft. The amount once remitted shall not be refunded under any circumstances. The Board of Technical Education will not be responsible for the delay, loss or damage of the Information Bulletin, ICR/OMR application form, admit card, demand draft if any, during the transit. The envelope requesting for issuance of information bulletin and application form by post must be super scribed at the left-top corner as “Request for Information Bulletin for CET-2011”.
