Director of Technical Education invites application for Common Aptitude Test MAH-AR-CAT-2011 for academic year 2011.

Eligibility criteria for appearing to MAH-AR-CAT 2011
The candidates should be Indian National and must have passed the HSC (Std. XII) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with Mathematics as the subject at HSC OR Diploma (10+3 Level) or its equivalent examination and secured minimum 50% aggregate marks ( 45% aggregate marks for backward class category candidates from Maharashtra State only).
Eligibility criteria for Maharashtra State Candidate, J & K Migrant candidate, GoI nominee Candidate for admission to first year of degree course in Architecture through CAP :
Candidate should have obtained minimum 40% marks i.e. 80 marks out of 200 (minimum 35% marks i.e. 70 marks out of 200 in case of candidates of Backward class categories belonging to Maharashtra state only) at MAH-AR-CAT 2011.
Eligibility criteria for Admission to AIEEE Seats in Unaided Architecture Institutes:
The Candidate must have passed AIEEE 2011 (Paper 2) Examination [both Maharashtra & OMS] with minimum 40% Marks in paper 2 are required to fill the online application form.
Scheme of CAT Examination:-
The MAH-AR-CAT-2011 examination will consist of one common question paper of maximum 200 marks in the subjects of Aesthetic Sensitivity (100 marks) and Drawing (100 marks) to test the aptitude of the candidate for architecture degree course.
How To Apply:
Sale of Information Brochure along with Application Kit for all candidates at the designated ARC’s. Prescribed Fees for application form is Rs. 700/- for all candidates and Rs. 500/- for reserved category candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only (i.e., Candidates having relevant backward class Caste Certificate issued by Maharashtra State authorities).
Prescribed fees to be given in the form of D.D.(Demand Draft)/Pay Order only of any Nationalized/Scheduled/ Private sector commercial bank drawn in favour of “Director of Technical Education, Mumbai” payable at Mumbai. No other mode of payment shall be permitted.
Aspiring candidates will be able to submit and confirm the Online Application form through the web site www.dte.org.in/arch.
Any case candidates will be late for admission then Late Fees of Rs. 500/- in cash on 11th June, 2011 (Between 11AM-5PM), at the following address: Sir J. J. College of Architecture, 78/3, D. N. Road, (Near CST Railway Station), Mumbai 400 001.
