North Maharashtra University invites application for following courses academic year 2011.
1) M.Sc. (Statistics):
Eligibility : B.Sc.(Statistics) or B.Sc. in any subject with Statistics as a one of the subsidiary subject up to second year B.Sc. Minimum 50% (45% for SC/ST/NT/OBC) marks in Statistics are essential at B.Sc. level.
2) Post-Graduate Diploma in Actuarial Science (PGDAS):
Eligibility: B.Sc./B.A. or M.Sc./M.A. with principal subject (Statistics/Mathematics/Economics/Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Physics) /(B.Com. with Mathematics up to XII standard and Statistics at B.Com.)/ B.B.M./E-commerce /M.B.A./B.E. Very good Mathematical/Statistical background is expected. (Entrance test may be conducted if number of applicants is large Science)
3) B.Sc.+M.Sc.(Actuarial Science):
Eligibility: Candidate who has passed HSC(10+2) from any stream of Science/Commerce /Arts with one of the subjects Mathematics in English medium and has obtained at least 70% (65% for SC/ST/NT/OBC) marks in Mathematics is eligible to get admission through entrance examination.
