Regional Institute of Education Bhubaneshwar, B. Ed. & M. Ed. Admission Notification 2011

Regional Institute of Education invites applications for admission to the following courses for the session 2011-2012.

1. Four Year Integrated B.Sc.B.Ed. (PCM & CBZ streams)

Eligibility: Pass in +2 Science with minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate. The candidate should have either the subject combination of (a) Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry or (b) Biology, Physics and Chemistry at +2 level. Candidates who have passed +2 Science Examination before 2010 will not be considered for admission. Separate application forms are required for each stream.

2. Four Year Integrated B.A.B.Ed.

Eligibility: Pass in +2 Arts / Science / Commerce stream with minimum 50% marks in the aggregate. Candidates who have passed +2 Examination before 2010 will not be considered for admission.

3. Two Year B.Ed. (Secondary)

Eligibility: Pass in +3 Degree Examination in Arts / Science with at least 50% marks in the aggregate. Candidates who have passed +3 Examination before 2007 will not be considered for admission.

4. One Year M.Ed.

Eligiblity: Candidates applying for M.Ed. should have B.Ed. with 50% marks in the aggregate or B.Sc.B.Ed./B.A.B.Ed. with 50% marks in the aggregate and 50% marks in the Education component and also Post Graduate Degree in Science/Arts with a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate.

5. M.Sc. (Life Science) Ed.

Eligibility: Candidates should have passed 4 Year integrated B.Sc.B.Ed. with Chemistry, Botany, Zoology (CBZ) as in RIEs of NCERT with 55% marks in aggregate (Science and Education) or B.Sc. in (CBZ) with either Botany or Zoology must have been studied for three years with a 55% marks aggregate (CBZ) and B.Ed. with 55% marks from any recognized University.

6. M.Phil in Education

Eligibility: Post Graduate Degree in Education with minimum of 55% marks in the aggregate.

Selection Process:

On the basis of marks secured in the qualifying examination and entrance test.

How to apply:

Application Form can be downloaded from : www.riebbs.ori.nic.in and if so desired it can also be obtained from the In-Charge, Academic Section of the Institute free of cost on request, along with self-addressed stamped envelope. Separate application form is required for each course and combination.

Application for admission should be sent to In-Charge, Academic Section, Regional Institute of Education, (NCERT), Bhubaneswar – 751022 in the prescribed format of application form as stated above on or before 5.30 p.m. of 20.06.2011 for Four year Integrated B.A.B.Ed., B.Sc.B.Ed.,  and 30.06.2011 for Two year B.Ed., M.Ed., M.Sc. (Life Science) Ed. and M.Phil courses. Each application form should be accompanied with an application fee in the form of an account payee demand draft of Rs.300/- (Rupees Three hundred) only (non-refundable) drawn on State Bank of India or its associate banks in favour of “GENERAL FUND ACCOUNT, REGIONAL INSTITUTE OF EDUCATION, BHUBANESWAR” at State Bank of India, RCE Campus branch (Code No. 5302) Bhubaneswar-751022 and documents listed in the application form.

Last date for receipt of application for B.A.B.Ed., B.Sc.B.Ed.: 20.06.2011

Last date for receipt of application for B.Ed., M.Ed., M.Sc.Ed. and M.Phil : 30.06.2011
