Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology invites application for M.Tech Courses for academic year 2011

                                                                                                                              

The M. Tech. (Research) Programmes are being offered in the following disciplines:

• Civil Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering
• Electrical Engineering
• Electronics Engineering
• Chemical Engineering
• Computer Engineering
• Applied Mechanics (Structural Engineering & Geotechnical Engineering)

The Five  Years Integrated M. Sc. Programmes are being offered in the disciplines of

• Chemistry
• Mathematics
• Physics

Eligibility:

• For open category B.E./ B. Tech. / B. Arch.* or equivalent degree in respective discipline with minimum of 50% aggregate (all semesters/years) marks or (CGPA 5.5) and Possessing valid GATE score.
• For SC/ST category B.E./ B. Tech. / B. Arch.* or equivalent degree in respective discipline with minimum of 45% aggregate (all semesters/years) marks or (5.0 CGPA) and Possessing valid GATE score. Selection Procedure:

• The candidates are required to bring all the certificates related to educational qualification, birth and sponsorship (if required). The Sponsored candidates who are not able to produce ‘Sponsorship Certificate’ on the date of counseling, they have to fill up an undertaking as per the format encloses.

• All the candidates are required to remain present in respective departments of the Institute on their due date of counseling.

How to Apply;

The candidates have to pay an application and processing Fee (Non-refundable) of Rs.1000/-(for Open/OBC) and Rs.500/-(SC/ST) with the application form. The fee has to be paid in the form of crossed Demand Draft in favour of “The Director, SVNIT, Surat” payable at Surat at the time of respective counseling/interviews.

Important Dates:

• Last date of receipt of applications* May 31, 2011
• Details of eligible applicants department-wise to be put up on website: June 13, 2011
• Date of counseling of eligible GATE candidates (Reporting time: 09.00 AM): June 20, 2011
• Declaration of Results for GATE Candidates: June 21, 2011
