Central University of Haryana, M.Phil, PhD & Master Degree Course Admission 2011




Central University of Haryana  invites application for following courses for academic year 2011

1) M.Phil. in English, Economics, Hindi and Political Science

Eligibility for Admission to the Programme of Study (M. Phil)
A candidate shall be eligible for admission to the programme of study leading to the Degree of Master of Philosophy (M.Phil), hereinafter called the programme, if he/she had taken Master’s degree of the University with atleast 55% marks (50% for SC/ST or differently abled categories) and or a degree recognized by the University for this purpose as its equivalent.


2) Ph.D in English, Economics, Hindi, Management and Political Science
Eligibility for Admission to the Programme of Study (Ph.D.)
1. A candidate shall be eligible for admission to the Ph.D. programme, if he/she:
(i) Has M.Phil degree from recognized university; or
(ii) Has qualified UGC/CISR/JRF/NET/SLET Examination and is a holder of
Teacher Fellowship; or
(iii) Has been a teacher in a constituent/affiliated college of the university for at least two years, and have previous research experience of at least two years and research publication(s) comparable to M.Phil standard; or
(iv) is an in-service candidate with three years of experience and has Master’s degree with at least 55% of marks (50% for SC/ST or differently abled categories).

3) M.A. (Economics)
Eligibility:
Students who have completed undergraduate education from a recognized Indian or foreign university (foreign recognition to be as per AIU list) with B.A. (Hons.)/B.Sc. (Hons) Economics and secured a minimum of 50% aggregate marks. In the case of Universities where the B.A./Bsc. (Hons) Economics degree includes courses other than Economics, the course shall be treated as an Honours course only if it contains at least 55% marks of the total marks in respect of papers in economics. 55% or more marks in Graduate/Post Graduate degree in any other subject from any recognized Indian University and who have qualified in the entrance test conducted by the University

4) M.A. (Education)
Eligibility:
A candidate seeking admission to the MA (Education) course should have at least 50% marks in the Bachelors degree Examination (a three year course after the 10+2 examination) from any recognized Indian University and who have qualified in the entrance test conducted by the University

5) Master of Business Administration (MBA)
Eligibility:
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized Indian or foreign university (foreign recognition to be as per AIU list) with at least 50% marks aggregate and who have qualified in the entrance test conducted by the University.

6) Master of Law (LL.M)
Eligibility:
All candidates having a three-year/five-year LL.B. Degree from a recognized Indian or foreign university (foreign recognition to be as per AIU list) with at least 50% marks or equivalent grade point in the aggregate and who have qualified in the entrance test conducted by the University.

7) Master of Commerce (M.Com)
Eligibility:
A candidate seeking admission to M. Com. course must have:
I. Passed B.Com. (Hons.) degree from a recognized Indian or foreign university (foreign recognition to be as per AIU list)with at least 50% marks,
or
II. Passed B.Com. (Pass) or B.Com. Degree from from a recognized Indian or foreign university (foreign recognition to be as per AIU list) with at least 55% marks.
or
III. Passed B.A. (Hons.) Economics degree from a recognized Indian or foreign university (foreign recognition to be as per AIU list) with at least 50% marks.
Or
IV. Passed B.B.S., B.B.A., B.I.F.A. and B.B.E. degree from a recognized Indian or foreign university (foreign recognition to be as per AIU list) with at least 60%



Selection Procedure:
Applications are invited for admission to above programmes. Selection for courses at S.No. 1 & 2 is through entrance test and personal interview as per requirement of UGC Ph.D./M.Phil regulations 2009 (available on UGC website). Selection for courses at S. No.3,4,5,6 & 7 is through entrance test. For minimum eligibility requirement and other details, refer to the Prospectus available at the website. The application form along with relevant information etc. can be downloaded from the website www.cuharyana.org. Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/PH will be as per rules of Govt. of India/UGC. The filled in application form, complete in all respects along with requisite fee of Rs. 350/- (Rs. 250/- in case of OBC and Rs. 150/- in case of SC/ST/PH) through DD favouring Central University of Haryana payable at Narnaul and duly supported with a tentative synopsis of 300 words (for M.Phil students), 500 words (for Ph.D. students) in which the scholar will carry his/her research, should reach Central University of Haryana, Temporary Camp Office:
Govt. B.Ed. College Building, Narnaul (Distt. Mahendergarh) Haryana by 24th June 2011. Incomplete application or application received beyond the scheduled date shall be summarily rejected and University will not be responsible for any postal delay. The Centre and time of entrance examination (for all courses mentioned above) as also date; centre and time of interview (for M.Phil and Ph.D) will be displayed on website www.cuharyana.org on 8th July 2011 along with the list of shortlisted candidates. The entrance examination for above courses will be held on 17th July 2011.The candidates are advised to refer to the website and report for entrance examination and interview on the stipulated dates and time at the designated centre.
