Eligibility:

a. For M.Sc(Hort):

The candidate should possess a Degree in B.Sc (Horticulture)/B.Sc (Agriculture) or its equivalent qualification from a recognized Agriculture / Horticulture / Deemed University/ Institutions recognized by ICAR with a minimum CGPA of not less than 2.25/4.00 or OGPA 6.00/10.00 (For SC/ST/Cat-I mere pass is enough).

b. For Doctoral Programme:

The candidates should possess a Master Degree in M.Sc. (Hort) / M,Sc.(Agri) in Horticulture or its equivalent qualification from a recognized Agriculture / Horticulture Deemed University/ Institutions recognized by ICAR with a minimum CGPA of not less than 2.50/4.00 or OGPA of 6.50/10.00 (For SC/ST/Cat-I mere pass is enough).

How to Apply:

The blank application form and prospectus may be obtained from the Registrar’s office, University of Horticultural Sciences, Sector No.60, Navanagar, Bagalkot-587102 either in person or through post by sending a Demand Draft purchased on or after the Date of this notification along with request application. Candidates seeking application through post shall send a self addressed envelope (A-4 size) affixing Rs. 30/- (Rupees Thirty only) postage stamps. The application forms shall be issued from 22.06.2011 to 21 .07.2011. Applications are also available at KRCCollege of Horticulture, Arabhvi, College of Horticulture, Mudigere, College of Horticulture, Bagalkot & PG Centre, UHS , GKVK, Bangalore. The filled in application should be submitted to the Registrar, University of Horticultural Sciences, Sector No.60, Navanagar, Bagalkot-587102 on or before 23.07.2011 (4.00 pm). The late submitted and incomplete applications are liable to be rejected. The University will not be held responsible for any postal delay.

Application forms and Prospectus can also be downloaded from the website www.uhsbagalkot.edu.in  and filled in application should be accompanied by prescribed DD, and should reach the undersigned before the last date.
