Last date for reporting to the colleges selected by the candidate after First Round of COMEDK UGET-2011 Medical and Dental Counseling is 29/07/2011 (Friday)

Eligibility:
MBBS / BDS:
General Merit Candidates should have passed the qualifying examination which is 2nd PUC or 10+2 higher secondary or equivalent examination, recognized by State / Central Government. The last two years of study shall comprise of Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) with English as a compulsory subject. As per the Medical Council of India (MCI) and Dental Council of India (DCI) norms the candidates must have passed these subjects individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% of marks taken together in PCB. Further they must secure not less than 50% marks in PCB in the Common Entrance Test (COMEDK UGET-2011). 

SC, ST candidates of All India and OBC Candidates of Karnataka should have passed the qualifying examination which is 2nd PUC or 10+2 higher secondary or equivalent examination, recognized by State / Central Government. The last two years of study shall comprise of Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) with English as a compulsory subject. As per the Medical Council of India (MCI) and Dental Council of India (DCI) norms the candidates must have passed these subjects individually and must have obtained a minimum of 40% of marks taken together in PCB. Further they must secure not less than 40% marks in PCB in the Common Entrance Test (COMEDK UGET-2011).  He/she shall complete the age of 17 years on or before 31st December (31/12/2011) of the year of admission to the MBBS/BDS course.

Documents to Be Produced

Medical / Dental
1. COMEDK UGET-2011 – Rank Card.
2. 10th standard / SSLC or equivalent Marks Card.
3. Date of Birth Certificate, if not mentioned in 10th Std / Equivalent Marks Card.
4. 12th standard / 2nd PUC or equivalent qualifying examination Marks Card (Should satisfy the eligibility criteria)

5. Crossed Demand Draft for a notified Amount to be drawn in favour of “COMEDK” payable at Bangalore, along with the photocopy of the Bank Counter foil issued by the bank at the time of buying the Demand Draft (Candidate’s Name and TAT number must be written behind the DD). If the photocopy of the Bank counter foil is not furnished, a notarized affidavit in stamp paper of value Rs. 20/ (see Appendix – VI) for format is to be submitted.

6. SC, ST (All India) and OBC candidates of Karnataka are eligible to claim the lower eligibility only, seat selection will be only on the basis of merit provided they furnish the following Certificates:

a. SC / ST : Caste Certificate issued by competent authority (Authorised to issue such a certificate but not below the rank of a Tahsildar) valid for the year of admission.

b. OBC: Category I, IIA, IIB, IIIA, IIIB: As notified by the Karnataka Govt. Caste and Income Certificate issued by Tahsildar or higher revenue jurisdictional authority authorised to issue such a certificate (to claim only the lower eligibility) valid for the year of admission.


7. RELIGIOUS MINORITY: Religious (Christian) Minority candidates of All India to produce certificate as per Appendix –IV of Brochure (available on www.comedk.org) & School leaving certificate of the candidate.
8. LINGUISTIC MINORITY: Linguistic Minority candidates of Karnataka to produce certificate as per Appendix –IV of Brochure (available on www.comedk.org) & School leaving certificate of the candidate and the parent indicating the mother tongue.


Annual Tuition Fee payable at  the time of Counseling
Medical (M.B.B.S) : Rs.3,25,000/-
Dental (B.D.S) : Rs.2,30,000/-
