VIT University invites application for VIT Master Entrance Examination (VITMEE) 2011 for admission in MCA and M.Tech Courses for academic year 2011

Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates should have graduated with a full-time degree from any recognized University with a minimum aggregate of 60% for MCA and 50% for M.Tech. degree programmes.
- Consistent Record in X Std. and XII Std. is required.
- Candidates appearing for their final degree exam / final semester exam in the current year are also eligible to apply.
- Candidates should have completed their final Semester/year exams before the selection interview at VIT University.
- It is compulsory for candidates selected to produce their final year marks’ statement and Provisional degree certificate before August 15th, 2011, failing which, their admission will stand cancelled.
Selection Procedure:
- Admission to both MCA and M.Tech programmes will be based on the candidates' performance in VITMEE conducted by VIT University.
- The names of candidates short-listed to attend the interview will be published in www.vit.ac.in
- Candidates short-listed for interview will be informed of the date and time through SMS if mobile number is provided. This information will also be available in the website.
- Selected Candidates should pay a deposit of
10,000 as an advance at the time of the interview. This amount will be adjusted against their first year fee.
- This should be paid by means of Demand Draft drawn in favour of “VIT University”, payable at Vellore (only computerised DD will be accepted).
- Candidates who fail to pay the advance at the time of interview will not be considered for admission.
How to Apply;
The Application Form for the MCA and M.Tech. degree programmes can be obtained against cash payment of 900/- from the designated branches of the GPOs / HPOs.
900/- from the designated branches of the GPOs / HPOs.Candidates can also obtain the application form from the VIT University at Vellore (or) VIT University Chennai (or) from the City Office, New No. 6, (Old No. W-73), Second Street (Opposite Towers Club), Anna Nagar, Chennai - 600040 (Phone: 044 - 42016555 / 65480555, Fax: 044-26222555), by handing over a Demand Draft for Rs 900/- drawn in favour of “VIT University”, payable at Vellore.
Candidates can also obtain the application form through post by sending a Demand Draft for Rs. 900/- drawn in favour of “VIT University” , payable at Vellore, with a covering letter addressed to “Admissions Officer”, VIT University, Vellore - 632014, requesting for the application form and indicating their complete postal address. On receipt of the DD, the application form will be sent by post. The postal charges will be borne by VIT. Candidates should write their name and address on the reverse of the DD.
Important Dates:
Last Date of Submission of Form : 31 May 2011
VITMEE will be conducted on 11th and 12th June 2011, between 10 am and 12 noon. VIT will inform the candidates the exact date and time of the exam will be uploaded in website.
