Gujarat Forensic Sciences University invites application for Post Graduate Diploma in Forensic Psychology for academic year 2011

Eligibility:

M.A/M.Sc in Psychology/ M Psy in clinical psychology, full time degree from recognized university with at least 50% marks. Those who have appeared for M.A. /M.Sc examination can also apply; however, the admission to this course is subject to the submission of M.A. /M.Sc final result (with at least 50% marks) on or before the day of admission.

Guidelines to fill up the application form:

Duly filled application form (to be downloaded from the university website www.gfsu.edu.in) with a demand draft of Rs. 500 (non-refundable), in favor of “The Registrar, Gujarat Forensic Sciences University”, should reach the address given below on or before 30th June 2011 Further, true copies of the documents listed below must be attached with the application form:

• Final mark sheet of M.A. /M.Sc degree/MPsy in Clinical Psychology

• School leaving certificate

• Duly filled admit card

• Reference letter and No Objection Certificate (NOC) from Head of the Department (for in-service candidates)

• Experience certificate (for in-service candidates)

Selection procedure:

Admissions will be based purely on the merits obtained in the entrance test. In the entrance examination the candidates will be asked 50 multiple choice objective questions to be answered in one hour. The question paper will have questions from general psychology, clinical psychology, social psychology and abnormal psychology.

Entrance examination venue:

The entrance test will be held on 12th July 2011 at IBS, Gujarat Forensic Sciences University campus, Near Police Bhavan, Sector 18/A, Gandhinagar, Gujarat.

• Entrance test: 12th July 2011
• Publication of merit list: 18th July 2011
• Date of Counseling: 25th July 2011
• Last date of payment of fees: 30th July 2011
• Commencement of semester: 1st August 2011
